Visitors outside Canada who want to attend AAIC in person may require appropriate documents to enter the country. The type of documentation required depends on the purpose of the visit and your country of residence. For more information on obtaining a visa, as well as visa policies and procedures, please visit the Canadian government's international travel website and answer a few questions to find out if you need a visa.
While the Association has no influence in the visa process, we do want you to be aware of potential delays in the process should you need to update your visa.
Be sure to indicate that you require an official letter of invitation when you register for the conference.

All poster presenters are required to register. Instructions on how to post your presentation to the virtual platform will be shared with presenters.

Requests to cancel your conference, preconference or workshop registration must be emailed to aaic@alz.org by June 13 in order to receive a refund. Your registration confirmation receipt must be included with the email. In-person registration cancellations will be subject to a $100 USD administrative fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations of any type, including no-shows, after June 13.
Attendees can also choose to change their registration type (from virtual to in-person or in-person to virtual) for the difference in rates at any time including onsite at AAIC. Changing from in-person to virtual registration will be subject to a $100 USD administrative fee. After July 31 at 1 p.m. Eastern Time (North America), no further registration changes will be permitted.
Only those age 18 and older are able to enter session rooms, receptions, the exhibit hall or any other general conference areas due to the sensitivity of presentations, and for the courtesy of other attendees. Please keep these age requirements in mind when planning your trip.
For conference attendees requiring childcare, AAIC 2025 is proud to work with KiddieCorp to offer dedicated childcare at the Westin Harbour Castle located in Marine on the main lobby level. The hotel is a 17 walk from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
This service is available for children ages 6 months to 12 years, from Friday, July 25 through Wednesday, July 30 (7 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.) and Thursday, July 31 (7 a.m. – 2 p.m.). Learn more about pricing, registration and additional details.

Journalists on assignment from recognized external print, broadcast, syndicated or online news organizations are eligible for complimentary registration. News media must apply for press credentials and be approved in order to receive advance access to embargoed news materials. Approvals for news media/reporters are at the discretion of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Film crews producing editorial or documentary-style content are also eligible to attend AAIC. Crews who wish to film at AAIC must Film Crew Request Form by June 1, 2025 to obtain permission. While on site, camerapersons must be accompanied by a staff member of the Alzheimer’s Association.
